In April of this year I was diagnosed with chlamydia. I believe I contracted the std in January. I took antibiotics and retested for it 2x in the past 3 months to be safe and the results were negative both times. However, since April I have had very painful urination ONLY on my urethra when I pee. I was tested for a bladder infection about 3 times and they all came back negative. I tested for HIV and Gonorrhea as well and that came back negative too. Finally they tested for a bacterial infection which came back positive. I was prescribed different antibiotics during this time but my symptoms did not go away, it stilled burned every time I would pee. Finally my doctor prescribed a estrogen cream called "Estrace" (typically used for woman going through menopause – but I am only 25 years old) and it worked! my burning sensation significantly reduced.
